Christmas Gift Guide: The Best Food Hampers

Share

Food hampers always make a wonderful gift, I mean who wouldn't want to receive a parcel full of delicious food and drink?!

There are now so many food hampers to choose from, it was fun browsing all the options to pick my favourites for this gift guide (and also made me very hungry!)

I've picked a wide selection of different options that I think would all make amazing gifts, with different recipients in mind and at different price points, and I've also chosen ones that I'd love to receive myself.

Here are my favourites...

Selfridges Pantry Selection Gift Box £100

Selfridges pantry selection gift box contains mostly savoury items to fill up your pantry, and chocolate honeycomb as a little sweet treat.

This bright yellow box contains a luxurious truffle oil, smooth almond butter, Brazilian ground coffee, and also accompaniments for your Christmas cheeseboard with savoury oatcakes, a caramelised onion chutney and an apple, pear & plum chutney.

This hamper really is a celebration of Christmas with some festive items from Bettys including their classic Christmas pudding, a rich fruitcake, and their Christmas chocolate box.

And with other products in this wicker hamper including milk chocolate owls and spiced Christmas shortbread, there's plenty in here for family and friends to share.

Lina Stores Il Natale Hamper £120

Lina Stores have curated the most delicious Italian Christmas food hamper!

Their Il Natale Hamper includes Italian festive favourites which have become staple products at this time of year... a traditional panettone and panforte.

There are other sweet treats too with Torrone (an Italian nougat), Marrons Glacês, and Amaretti biscuits. And as a balance for all the sweetness there are a few savoury items: cheese, a fruit chutney and flatbreads.

All of these come packed into one of Lina Stores Christmas gift boxes which will look beautiful under your tree.

London Honey Company Borage Hamper £40

London honey

London Honey Company have a range of gift boxes that would all make amazing Christmas presents for anyone who loves honey. I've been a fan of London Honey Company for a long time and you can read more about them here.

This gift box includes a jar of their pure borage honey, British summer honeycomb which is currently from the Salisbury Plain, a jar of their beeswax balm which can be used on lips and dry skin (perfect for the winter months) and a pair of their borage beeswax candles.

The candles are made using wax from their own hives, and these are hand-dipped in a natural plant-based dye to re-create the blue colour of the Borage flowers.

Love Raw Christmas Selection Box £19.99

Love Raw's new selection box contains 10 of their delicious vegan chocolate bars, including the new nutty choc balls.

This is a great gift for your vegan or dairy-free friends. And Love Raw recently became a certified B-Corp so you know they're doing the right things from an ethical and sustainable point of view, and they are a great brand to support.

If you've not tried any Love Raw products before, check out their milk chocolate wafer bar - its like a kinder bueno, but better!

Paxton & Whitfield 12 Days of Christmas £80

I don't know if its just me, but I know a lot of people who would love to receive a cheese hamper.

Paxton & Whitfields 12 Days of Christmas Hamper contains a selection of products, not just cheese, so you can put together a full cheese board.

There are 3 cheeses: stilton, cheddar and a soft cheese, along with crackers, condiments, a wine that pairs perfectly with your cheese, and a couple of sweet things too.

Cocktail Crates Mocktail Gift Box £34.99

So this isn't a food hamper, but I wanted to include this mocktail gift box from cocktail crates in my selection.

As I'm not drinking whilst I'm having chemo, I've found so many amazing alcohol free options. And with gift boxes like this, the recipient can still enjoy a nice cocktail without that feeling of missing out on an alcoholic drink.

This box includes all the ingredients needed to make a Piña Colada, Passion Fruit Cooler and Virgin Mojito.

Waitrose No.1 Indulgence Sack £50

John Lewis have a range of Waitrose hampers avaialble this year, including this sack filled with a selection of their No.1 products (No.1 is Waitrose's premium product range).

I like that this comes in a bag that you could re-use rather than another wicker basket or cardboard box.

Like some of the other hampers featured in this gift guide, this includes a selection of sweet and savoury products including Spanish queen olives, pesto grissini, coffee shortbread and spiced orange dark chocolate.

The Newt Fireside Feast Hamper £99

The Newt

Newt's Fireside Feast Hamper really does have something for everyone, including mince pies for Santa and carrots for the reindeers.

And for the recipient there are The Newt's own mince pies, Garibaldi and Biscotti, as well as Harth's winter solstice hot chocolate made with winter spice, and a few bottles for the adults to enjoy too!
