The Best Food Advent Calendars 2022
With more and more delicious food advent calendars launching each year, the countdown to Christmas has never tasted so good!
I'm writing this in September, and I've already bought myself two advent calendars. It might seem like I'm being extremely organised (and greedy!) but last year quite a few advents sold out early so I didn't want to miss out.
There's plenty of choice when it comes to food and drink advent calendars, and you can start getting into the festive spirit from 1st December with some of these delicious and indulgent options.
Here's my pick of the best food advent calendars this Christmas...
Fortnum's Feasting Advent Calendar £200
This was one of my favourites last year, and of course makes the list again this Christmas. (It's one of the two advents I've bought for myself!).
I created this advent calendar a few years ago when I was working at Fortnum's, and I always look forward to seeing which Fortnum's products have been selected to go in this each year.
Highlights this Christmas include gingerlossus biscuits, ruby chocolate, and figgy pudding liqueur.
Marks & Spencer 24 Biscuits 'Til Christmas £8
An advent calendar filled just with biscuits is sure to appeal to a lot of people this Christmas! (And this is the other one I've treated myself to this year).
This includes 24 vanilla, honeycomb and clementine cream biscuits. I think M&S could have tried a bit harder to include a few more flavour options, but I'm still very excited about this.
But surely next year we need an advent with all the biscuits... I'm talking custard creams, chocolate digestives, Jaffa cakes...
Melt Holland Park House Advent Calendar £210
This has to be the ultimate advent calendar for chocolate lovers! This is jam-packed full of chocolate bars, truffles, hot chocolate and more.
Melt describe this as a 'family' advent calendar and it certainly is huge, but you're not going to want to share this!
Paxton & Whitfield Artisan Cheese Advent Calendar £150
Paxton & Whitfield's advent calendar is back by popular demand, and with an updated fill for this Christmas.
You'll receive 24 boxes of the finest cheese (split out over 3 deliveries so it won't fill up your fridge!), with the options including traditional favourites and some more unusual options that you might not have tried before.
Each box also contains some information about the cheese, its maker, and a serving or pairing suggestion!
Bird & Blend Tea Advent Calendar £38
There are plenty of options when it comes to tea advent calendars, but I like this one from Bird & Blend because it has some interesting flavour teas... including gingerbread chai, salted caramel lebkuchen, and Tea & Toast.
And Bird & Blend also have a caffeine free advent calendar too.
The Spice Discovery Advent Calendar £28.50
This advent calendar contains 24 unique spice blends, salts and peppers, and each one comes with tasting notes and a recipe suggestion.
With spices like gomasio, kari-brest, and a speculoos blend, this advent calendar will inspire you to create some delicious meals and bakes in the kitchen this Christmas.
Bear's Brownies Advent Calendar £59.95
A box full of 24 brownies to eat in December? Yes please!
This advent calendar includes some delicious flavour brownies, including candy cane, gingerbread and stollen. It's going to be a struggle not to eat more than one of these a day.
Harry Specters Advent Calendar £40
For an upgrade on the traditional chocolate advent calendar, check out this option from Harry Specters, filled with delicious chocolates and in a beautifully-designed box.
Containing chocolate buttons, chocolate covered coffee beans and filled chocolate with flavours including carrot cake, salted lime caramel, and chai spice.
