Brand Spotlight: Doisy & Dam
This post is our love letter to Doisy & Dam - a brand who cares about creating a more ethical and chocolatey world for us all to live in.
If Willy Wonka did ethical chocolate - it might look something like Doisy & Dam and their vibrant wonderland of cocoa-rich goodies.
This UK brand first burst onto the chocolate scene in 2014, and since then, their mission has been simple: create delicious, ethical chocolate without all the artificial stuff.
In the early days, Doisy & Dam occupied what seemed like quite a niche space in the world of chocolate, even incorporating the likes of quinoa into their bars. We remember when their chocolate bars were only found in smaller independent stores and hipster cafes, but fast forward to now and delicious Doisy & Dam truffles, bars and nuttercups are found everywhere - from retailers like Planet Organic and Ocado to Holland & Barrett and Boots.
Doisy & Dam's strong company ethics have made it much easier for chocolate lovers to be socially responsible, and their brightly packaged products are a beam of light in the chocolate aisles. While a lot of other high-quality dark chocolate is designed to look sleek, serious and sometimes stuffy, Doisy and Dam have always leant towards the colourful and bold, branding their treats in a way that makes it feel like this is high quality chocolate for the masses.
It’s much more than just pretty chocolate however, Doisy & Dam are impressively focused on their ethics and consumer health. Here is a more in-depth round up of why we love this UK brand and some of our top product picks we recommend you to check out.
Reason's Why We Love Doisy & Dam
-
⭐️
They only use natural ingredients
Picking up a chocolate bar and knowing that there are no lurking additives or weird ingredients inside is pretty great. Doisy & Dam give us chocolate with an ingredients list that’s 100% comprehensible.
-
⭐️
Their chocolates are palm oil free
It’s no surprise that an eco-conscious brand like Doisy & Dam have stayed far away from this harmful ingredient - yet another reason they have our love.
-
⭐️
They are a Certified B Corporation
What does this mean? As a Certified B Corp, Doisy & Dam are verified in their commitment to be a force for good and balance profit for purpose in the hope to make positive social and environmental impacts. Or in their words, they’re “the kind of business you’d take home to your mum".
-
⭐️
They have a sustainable supply chain
Most of Doisy & Dam's chocolate comes from Colombia where they source their beans by working with Luker Chocolate who run sustainable cocoa farm initiatives which train farmers across the country, and give back to local communities.

They make tasty chocolate
With their ethics being a standout part of their brand, it’s a huge relief when you first try Doisy & Dam and realise that they haven’t had to compromise on taste. Doisy & Dam knows how to keep things interesting on the flavour front and their chocolate simply tastes delicious.
Our Favorite Doisy & Dam Products
MAPLE, TOASTED RICE & PINK SALT DARK CHOCOLATE BAR
Chocolate bars are where it all began for Doisy & Dam and this one has been around since the early days, remaining a firm fan favourite. With maple syrup, toasted rice and pink salt all nestled into delicious dark chocolate - it really is as good as it sounds.
DARK CHOCOLATE HAZELNUT NUTTERCUPS
The combination of hazelnut and chocolate never fails, and these Hazelnut butter covered dark chocolate cups are no exception. The ratio between nut butter and chocolate is spot on with these, and they also do an almond butter version.
DARK CHOCOLATE PEANUT D&DS
Very moreish, these are perfect movie-watching snacks or fun to bake with (Doisy & Dam peanut D&D cookies have been popping up on many an Instagram feed). Think Peanut M&Ms but 100X better!
DARK CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES
Arguably one of their best products ever... these truffles are like a better version of Lindor and are as smooth, creamy and luxurious tasting as all good truffles should be. They’ve also just released limited edition salted caramel versions for Christmas which might just be my new favourite D&D product!
