April Product Picks
Here are my favourite products this month, including a new planet-based m!lk and some delicious seasonal produce.
This month I've been inspired by the delicious fresh produce that has started to come into season. And there's also some exciting new products from brands that I love.
Check out my product picks below, and I'd love to hear if this post has inspired you to try any of these!
Rubies In The Rubble Squeezy Tomato Ketchup
Rubies in the Rubble's food waste fighting ketchup is now available in a squeezy bottle.
This ketchup is made using surplus pears that are collected from the valley next to their factory that would otherwise have gone to waste. And their new squeezy bottle is made from recycled plastic waste, and is completely recyclable too!
Dug Potato M!lk
Yes you read that right, this plant-based m!lk is made using potatoes! Dug have three m!lks in their range: Original, Barista and Unsweetened.
And this is one of the most sustainable plant-m!lks on the market...
Saffron Tree Signature Rub
This Signature Rub is brand new from Saffron Tree, and it's a really versatile medium-hot blend that can be used for any meat or seafood.
Saffron Tree kindly sent me this new blend to try, and it will be perfect for marinading chicken to go on the BBQ this summer.
Fortnum & Mason Asparagus Piccalilli
Asparagus is usually in season for only 8 weeks from mid-April, but it can be enjoyed all year round with this delicious new condiment from Fortnum & Mason.
Fortnum's recommended spooning this on top of a pork pie, or serving with their famous scotch eggs.
Ice Kitchen Thai Massaman Curry Paste
Ice Kitchen's frozen Massaman curry paste is perfect for making a delicious and authentic Thai curry.
Like all of Ice Kitchen's products, this paste is made using the best quality fresh ingredients, that are frozen at their peak to keep the fresh flavour. This is plant based so can be made using either meat or veggies, perfect for a meat-free Monday!
Bare Bones Dominican Salted Chocolate Bar
I love Bare Bones chocolate, each of their bars has such a distinct and incredible flavour, and this salted dark chocolate bar is no exception.
Made with 68% dark chocolate and Malton sea salt, this bar has tasting notes of deep chocolate, salted caramel and hazelnut. Yum!
Daylesford Organic Fig Leaf Gin
Daylesford's new organic fig leaf gin has fragrant and floral notes, and will be perfect to use for making a G&T to enjoy in the garden on a hot sunny day.
This gin is distilled with fig leaves and bergamot, and comes in a beautiful bottle designed by British artist Hugo Guinness.
Odd Box Vegetable Box
Odd Box are fighting food waste with their fruit & veg boxes, working directly with farmers to save wonky and excess produce.
They have different size boxes to choose from, and they also offer little-extras of last minute rescues to add into your box each week for a small extra cost.
This is a great way to eat seasonal produce too as they prioritise UK growers, and have a strict no air-miles policy as they never fly any fruit & veg in for their boxes.
