A Mother's Day Foodie Gift Guide

Even if your mum isn't that much of a foodie, I reckon most of these gifts would still make lovely presents (of course dog & cat mums also count).

Fare is possibly the most perfect foodie magazine out there, especially for anyone who enjoys great food writing and learning about different food cultures around the world. An annual subscription gets the recipient two beautiful issues per year, and there is loads of content in each issue - interviews, essays, articles, lots and lots of gorgeous photography.

I was on the hunt for a sturdy but snazzy "bag for life" when I came across this colourful one from HERD. It would be great to use for things like food shopping or beach picnics plus every bag is made from recycled plastic bottles. Each purchase funds 1kg of ocean clean up and HERD also allows customers to track the progress of that clean-up. A few different bag designs are available.

I can imagine this colourful little ceramic bird egg cup from Wolf & Badger perched on a kitchen shelf somewhere, and then recruited when necessary for some boiled eggs and soldiers! They come in 4 different colours and each cup is handmade by Hannah Turner in Bristol.

There's a gin cocktail (with premium gin, cloudy apple juice, elderflower cordial and fresh lime juice), a couple of lovely chocolate bars, some vegan sweets, and a couple of jars of baked nuts. This Olive & Rosemary Fougasse Baking Kit would make a fab Mother's day present. It comes with all the dry ingredients and instructions needed to bake a lovely, herby fougasse at home (fougasse is a type of very yummy French bread) and all that is needed is water and olive oil. Papier has a whole range of recipe journals to choose from and I love that you can personalise each one with your mum's name or initials. They are great for jotting down recipes to create personal cookbooks and in the back you'll find useful sections - like measurement conversions.

As far as Mother's Day presents go, you can't really go wrong with this Self-Care box.
